My name is Frank Jacobs, Business Manager for the Electrical Workers Local 1 in Saint Louis. It has been brought to our attention that many union members in Missouri are not registered voters. In addition, there are thousands of eligible family members in union households who have not registered to vote. It is vital that you and all eligible members of your family register to vote TODAY. If you have registered and your voter information is out of date, for example if your registered address is not current, we need you to update and correct your information immediately. We have created this video to assist you and have provided several links with detailed instructions below. We urge you to share this video EVERYWHERE – with your friends and family and everyone you know – on all the social media platforms where you are engaged and through text and email. If you are unsure as to the status of your registration, you will find a link below titled - Voter Lookup. You can enter your information online and the system will return your current registration information. If you see any errors, please use the links below to contact your local election authority to submit the corrections.
In Missouri, a person can register to vote online and electronically provide a signature using a mobile device, tablet computer or touchscreen computer, but not a standard desktop computer. The state reviews the information and prints out the registration form, which it sends to the person's local elections office for verification. With the proliferation of smart devices we feel this is the most convenient method for you to become registered.
However, if you want to use a standard computer you can still fill out the voter registration application online, but then you must print the application and submit it via postal mail or directly to your local election authority. In addition you can go online and simply request a voter registration card be mailed to your home.
Now please follow me through – please know that this is ONLY for those people who are not yet registered. Using your smart phone, tablet, or touchscreen computer please navigate to:
Once there, click on FILLING OUT THE VOTER REGISTRATION APPLICATION. Then you will begin the online application process. Please have all your personal information at hand. For members in Columbia or Boone County, there is a separate link to follow to fill out the online form for those regions.
PLEASE DO THIS NOW
We will begin gathering the signatures required for our referendum as soon as the petition has been approved. You MUST be a registered voter to sign the petition. PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO EVERYWHERE and COMMENT – I HELPED IN THE UNION MEMBER VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE TO DEFEAT RIGHT TO WORK
Thank you very much for your cooperation – none of our gains have ever been easy!
